About USFrom a young age, Kimberley drew inspiration from her parents' creative talents. Her father's skills in design and painting and business owner, ignited her passion, leading to countless hours spent at his drafting table. During her teenage years, she explored drawing, painting, jewelry making, and sewing.
In her 20s, Kimberley completed a diploma in Graphic Communications and Advertising at George Brown College in Toronto, Ontario, where she honed her design and illustration expertise and gained valuable insights into marketing, advertising and branding. Her career took a different turn later when she spent eight years in a Long-Term Care home, where she served as the admissions coordinator. During this time, Kimberley supported the home in increasing occupancy and assisted families as they transitioned. She also took on the role of Activity Director, managing a department of 13 staff and gaining a deep understanding of senior programs. Subsequently, Kimberley ventured into an Account Executive position at a Real Estate Marketing company, further expanding her knowledge of marketing and strategy. However, her passion for seniors remained a calling, leading her to establish Young at Heart Painting™ in 2018. This initiative provided art programming for residents living in Retirement and Long-Term Care homes and received recognition with a second-place finish in the Social Innovation Challenge. During the pandemic, Young at Heart Painting™ had to close its doors to seniors and pivot to re-invent itself. It then offered corporate virtual events such as virtual wine tastings, beer tasting, mixology and virtual paint nights, fostering continued connections across Canada which was really needed. Kimberley authored of a workbook titled "My Life By Design, The Ultimate Transformational Journal and Workbook" and hosted group journaling sessions during the lockdowns, focusing on bringing people together and providing an outlet for empowerment and positivity. Today, Young at Heart Painting™ doors are open and the company has reached over 8,500 seniors and implemented painting sessions in corporations across Canada bringing more connection to staff and teams. In 2023, they were awarded a grant from the City of York Region which allowed them to bring artists to the team and reach more seniors homes. With unwavering support from loved ones and the community, Kimberley is excited to share her talents and inspire others through her creative vision. We look forward to being your partner in all things creative, |
