Acrylic Art Instructor – Contract Position
Young at Heart Painting for Seniors Welcome to Young at Heart Painting! We are currently looking for creative and inspired artists and art therapists to join our team to serve seniors across Toronto and surrounding areas! If you enjoy fun work environments, working with people and other friendly aspiring artists, than this job is right for you. As an acrylic art instructor, you will be there to set up the event, arriving promptly and welcoming participants. Starting with a blank canvas, you will guide them through painting a picture from start to finish. Seniors’ paint classes will be approx. 1-1.5 hours. Provide and engaging class and have fun! |

We are currently recruiting for Markham and York Region, Peel, Hamilton, Burlington, Scarborough, Barrie, Toronto & GTA areas. We are open to bringing on artists in other areas as well, as we can look at homes in your neighborhood.

- PORTFOLIO IS REQUIRED!
- Reliable transportation is a MUST!
- You will be working with the public and we need your very best foot forward!
- 3 years painting experience preferred
- Must be able to facilitate step-by-step painting
- Good positive “can-do” attitude
- Bonus: Experience working with seniors
Responsibilities
- As an art instructor, you will teach of class of 5 up to 20 people
- Classes last anywhere from 1-2 hours
- You will guide them from painting a picture from start to finish
- Provide participants assistance if someone needs support
- You will be offered an opportunity to teach one of your own paintings or from a photograph of your choice, if approved by Lead Art Instructor
- Setting up and taking down, setting out tablecloths, filling paints in pallets, filling water cups, clean up afterwards including washing brushes
- Make sure art space is left clean and tidy
- Must be early to set up and start the class on time
