Kimberley Smith
Founder Kimberley, the founder of Young at Heart Painting has a passion for enhancing the lives of others with creativity. Kimberley has successfully created a platform that encourages self expression through art, a sense of belonging and feeling of satisfaction among others, no matter what age. Drawing from her background in marketing and graphic design, and experience in Long Term Care as an Admissions Coordinator and Activity Director, Kimberley brings her artistic expertise and management skills to the company. Her ability to coordinate and facilitate engaging art sessions and events has made a positive impact on the well-being of 6,500 of seniors since 2018. Her vision is to empower artists and provide a sense of belonging to everyone she works with in the community. Bringing a memorable experience to remember is her speciality. |
Giovanna Galuppo
Lead Art Instructor Leading paint events for over 5 years, Giovanna is an experienced art instructor and the longest dedicated member of the team. She enjoys guiding participants through the painting process and encouraging them to express themselves and connect with others. Originally from Venezuela, Giovanna is also a designer, singer and performer with a love for music, dance, and environmental advocacy. She believes that painting can provide a space for mindfulness and exploration. She is committed to bringing this experience to every art session with Young at Heart painting. |
Lisa Frandsen
Art Instructor Lisa's true passion lies in working with seniors in Long Term Care, With an infectious enthusiasm, she inspires individuals to explore their own artistic potential. With her immense talent and genuine dedication, Lisa is a talented mural artist with a lifelong passion for creativity. Since her early years, she has been drawing and painting, fostering her artistic skills through art classes and studies in graphic design at George Brown College. Her artistic journey has also led her to discover a love for working with clay, becoming an active member of the Pine Tree Potters Guild in Aurora, Ontario. Lisa has a background in landscape design and ran her own business specializing in designing landscapes and bringing vibrancy to outdoor spaces. Lisa continues to make a profound artistic impact with her community, bringing joy and inspiration to the lives of those she encounters. |
Fionne Cheng
Art Instructor Fionne is a multi-talented individual who graduated with honours in Visual Arts and Psychology from York University. She also holds a postgraduate diploma in HR Management and Adult Education/Staff Training. With a passion for creativity and teaching, Fionne has organized diverse paint nights, catering to groups ranging from girl scouts to corporations. In her leisure time, Fionne finds solace in nature and immerses herself in various artistic endeavors. Whether it's reading, listening to audiobooks, doodling, painting, or crafting poetry, she constantly seeks inspiration from her surroundings. Her artistic journey has led her to explore a wide range of mediums, including charcoal, printmaking, watercolour, acrylics, cosplay, woodworking, stone carving, 3D printing, welding, and brass casting. Fionne's eclectic experiences and commitment to artistic exploration fuel her creative spirit and drive her to inspire others through her work. |
Hilda Litinsky
Art Instructor With a decade of self-taught artistic experience under her belt, Hilda possesses a diverse background that has enriched her creative journey. Having worked as a teacher, floral designer, and graphic designer, she brings a unique perspective to her artistry. Hilda is a versatile artist, well-versed in a range of mediums, including watercolour, graphite, acrylics, pencil crayons, and digital art. Hilda strives to capture the essence of the world around her, making her work a testament to her dedication to the evolving canvas of life and artistry. |
